On 7 May 2014, Philippe Masset, President of the Board of Directors of ING Luxembourg and Head of Commercial Banking ING Belgium, announced his decision to take on a new challenge outside the Bank. By leaving ING Belgium, Philippe Masset leaves de facto his position as President of the Board of Directors of ING Luxembourg, position taken over by Rik Vandenberghe.

Mr. Vandenberghe developed in Luxembourg both the local and international activities of the bank, making of ING Luxembourg a key player for both companies and individuals.
On 1 March 2013 he joined the Executive Committee of ING Belgium, responsible for the division Products & Operations. Shortly thereafter, on 13 May 2013, he was appointed CEO ING Belgium SA, Head of the Belgian and Luxembourg entities of ING Group; he reports directly to Hans van der Noordaa, CEO ING Bank Benelux.
